I’m a Drilling Engineer with 5+ years’ experience designing and delivering complex wells for TotalEnergies across the UKCS and internationally, including offshore Lebanon. I own well design end-to-end — from PPFG uncertainty assessment and casing architecture through BHA optimisation, drilling programme authorship, and real-time operational decision-making.Before stepping into the office, I spent two years on the rig floor as a Wellsite / Night Drilling Supervisor and Company Representative, where I delivered complex wells with zero LTIs and ahead-of-AFE performance. That operational grounding means I design wells that are not just technically sound, but constructable, cost-effective, and safe to execute.Core strengths:• HPHT well design and execution — casing, mud systems (OBM/WBM/HPHT), hydraulics, and barrier integrity.• PPFG & drilling window optimisation — supporting safe section design in narrow-margin environments.• BHA and bit optimisation — eliminating vibration-related failures and improving drilling efficiency.• Real-time operations support — challenging contractor recommendations, managing well control risks, and reducing NPT.• AFE ownership, cost control, and post-well analysis — feeding lessons learned into future well designs.• Deepwater and riserless drilling — exploration well delivery in ultra-deepwater environments.I hold IWCF Level 4 certification, a valid BOSIET with EBS, and specialist training in advanced casing design (Altus), directional drilling and BHA modelling (DrillScan), and WellCat (Halliburton). My MEng in Chemical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde gives me a strong foundation in thermodynamics and process engineering that complements my wells expertise.
