ABOUT MOHAMMAD SHAH JALAL
I am an epidemiologist and microbiologist with a strong passion for understanding the emergence, transmission, and impact of zoonotic diseases among human, animal and environment, using epidemiological and microbiological tools within the One Health framework.I am currently pursuing a PhD in Veterinary Science – Epidemiology at the Université de Montréal, Canada. My doctoral research focuses on neurocysticercosis and spans systematic reviews, Bayesian meta-analysis and meta-regression, disability-adjusted life years (DALY) estimation, and the discovery of exosome-based biomarkers.Beyond my PhD, I have research experience in antibiotic resistance, antimicrobial resistance (AMR) surveillance, food safety, and the epidemiology of animal diseases. I aim to integrate my expertise in veterinary medicine, microbiology, and epidemiology to address complex health challenges at the human–animal–environment interface. To learn more about me and my work, you are cordially invited to visit my personal website: https://jalal2025.quarto.pub/my-web/
