Designed, built, and operated large-scale internal cloud platforms based on OpenStack, supporting physical servers across 18 data centers, used by multiple production-critical teams.Developed and maintained Python-based internal platform services and automation frameworks to extend OpenStack functionality and manage large-scale bare-metal infrastructure reliably.Owned and evolved infrastructure-as-code and automation systems using Ansible and CI/CD pipelines to safely roll out OS, kernel, and platform updates across thousands of nodes.Led system-level upgrades and migrations for OpenStack and database components in large bare-metal environments, including pre-flight validation, staged rollouts, and post-upgrade stabilization.Re-architected and scaled internal services such as the Compute Quota Manager (CQM) into a distributed, API-driven system using Python, Flask, Celery, and SQLAlchemy, enabling safe quota management for high-impact teams (e.g, Yahoo Mail).Built distributed reconciliation and monitoring tooling to continuously validate state consistency between OpenStack, internal databases, and physical infrastructure at scale.Implemented TLS-secured service-to-service and database communication, automating certificate provisioning and configuration through Ansible and CI/CD workflows.Designed and introduced health-check and validation automation to reduce risk during large-scale infrastructure changes and emergency patching scenarios.Partnered closely with security, operations, and application teams to improve platform reliability, observability, and security through automation-first design.Provided technical leadership through architecture reviews, code reviews, and mentoring, contributing to shared platform standards and long-term system maintainability.
