ABOUT MOHAMMAD BADER

As the Director of Human Services at Multnomah County, I oversee the operations and programming of a large and diverse department that serves the needs of our community. I have more than 30 years of experience in leadership, counseling, mental health, innovation in government, social services, and abuse prevention and investigations. I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Oregon, with a master\'s degree in Counselor Education and another one in Educational Leadership and Administration. I also hold a certification in Business Sustainability from Harvard Business School Online. I am passionate about developing the potential of people and improving the quality of life for our residents. I use metrics, data, and relationships to guide my decisions and actions, and to foster collaboration, innovation, and impact. I have a deep understanding of Medicaid programs, 1915c waiver, entitlement, behavioral health utilization review and audits, and I apply the principles of sustainable business strategy to my work. I am always looking for new opportunities to learn, grow, and make a difference.
