About Mohammad Alim
From street corners with a camera in 2020 to film sets and brand campaigns today—my journey has been all about turning raw passion into powerful visual stories.I first picked up a camera to capture street life and personal moments, but soon discovered the art of editing to refine my images and bring them alive. This curiosity pushed me to master Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and After Effects—my first set of creative tools.In 2021, I joined First Cut—the oldest filmmaking society at Delhi University—where collaboration became my greatest teacher. With dedicated teams, we created short films that went on to win 40+ inter-college competitions in 2022, including prestigious festivals at BITS Pilani and IIT Delhi.By 2023, my journey took me from a photowalk with the renowned Vineet Vohra to pursuing a Master’s in Cinema at AAFT. Under the mentorship of filmmakers like Zorjis Khan, Ashok Dhingra, Kriti Jain, and Tony D’Souza, I honed my skills in direction, scriptwriting, art direction, and VFX.After my Master’s, I interned with celebrated filmmakers Taqi Abbas and Kumail Kazmi (LucknowUncovered), learning how to blend creativity with marketing—crafting ads that met brand demands and drove sales through strong visual storytelling.Today as a Cinematographer and Filmmaker, I continue to shape stories that balance creativity with impact. Whether it’s a short film, commercial, or brand campaign, my goal is the same: to make visuals that connect deeply with audiences.Let’s connect—I’m always excited to collaborate on projects that challenge boundaries and tell stories that last.
