WORK HISTORY
Research and Policy Associate @Institute For Governance & Sustainable Development Igsd
Delhi, IN
At IGSD, I’m part of the India program team working on short-lived climate pollutants mainly methane and other short lived climate pollutants. A big focus of my work has been on agriculture, where I am helping lead deep-dive research into methane emissions from rice cultivation and what practical solutions can reduce them, like alternate wetting and drying (AWD), direct seeded rice (DSR), and even methanotroph-based treatments.Alongside the research, I have been coordinating a field pilot in Uttar Pradesh to test some of these interventions on the ground. I also contribute to broader reports on SLCPs and help build the case for climate action by estimating both the costs of action and inaction. It’s a mix of fieldwork, writing, and policy research and it’s deeply grounded in what can work for farmers on the frontlines.
