Lead engineer responsible to integrate structural engineering simulation into the product development process. • Implementation of non-linear static, dynamic, implicit, and explicit analysis on polymer and metallic parts using Abaqus and Hypermesh as primary tools. • Work closely with cross-functional teams including Product Design, Manufacturing, and Testing to provide a physical explanation of the FEA results and recommend solutions to optimize the design. • Develop standard processes for drop test simulation, three-point bending test simulation, shear and tensile test of sub-component simulation (Element removal analysis), adhesive joint of parts simulation, extrusion, and back-extrusion of component simulation, durability analysis, evaluation of elastomeric and hyperplastic materials and material characterization which improved product development efficiency and enable the company to cut costs by tooling only the most optimized design. • Test planning to validate the different performance requirements and refine FEA models.
