ABOUT MOHAMMAD AL-AMIN

An experienced lecturer in Mechanical Engineering with a research interest in high-efficiency photovoltaics and energy storage. I am an Associate Professor in the School of Engineering at the University of Warwick. I have finished my PhD in engineering at the University of Warwick and won the Faculty of Science Thesis Prize 2018. I hold a First Class undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering (2006). I completed an MSc course in Sustainable Energy Technologies at the University of Southampton (2009) for which I received a Distinction. I worked four years as a Senior Teaching Fellow in WMG, the University of Warwick in the field of Mechanical Engineering and lead the discipline group. I have three and half years outstanding research experience in solar cell and module process engineering at the Microsol International, United Arab Emirates. I was responsible for commissioning and maintaining process technologies in a photovoltaic module facility of 150 MW/yr production capacities in the Solon International LL FZE, United Arab Emirates. I am author/co-author of several publications including journal articles, book chapter, conference papers, and research articles in international magazine archive.Specialties: R&D in silicon photovoltaic( materials, cells processes and module processes) Research project leadership Process development in crystalline silicon solar cells and modules.
