Worked on developing a real-time monitoring and triage application for Walmart\'s Point of Sale (POS) devices- The application had end-to-end visibility into the POS ecosystem: device health, register type, network type, error diagnostics, real-time transaction activity, incident tickets (with assignee), and historical device state lookup for root-cause analysis- Developed an application deployed on registers that runs every 24 hours to collect POS and hardware metadata, and pushes it to Kafka topics, later ingested into GCP tables to maintain an accurate inventory of 1M+ devices- Worked with a Senior Data Scientist to integrate a GPT-4-powered chatbot to support POS incident queries- Designed a Spring Boot microservice that consumes register events from Kafka, applies rules via a Drools rule engine, and auto-heals POS devices when possible — reducing manual intervention and improving recovery time- Optimized existing BigQuery views and developed new queries to efficiently extract various transaction types, register metadata, and POS device data from 500M+ records, reducing query latency by 60%
