ABOUT MOHAMED SUFIYAN CHALLIWALA
With over ten years of operations and R&D experience in the chemical engineering field, I am a Research scientist at Texas A&M University at Qatar (TAMUQ), where I work on innovative projects to convert carbon dioxide (CO2) into useful products such as carbon nanotubes, syngas, methanol, and organic carbonates. My core competencies include designing and commissioning lab-scale and bench-scale reactors, conducting analytical calculations and techno-economic assessments, developing and patenting novel processes and catalysts, and publishing high-impact book chapters and journal articles. I also have extensive skills in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and process simulation using tools such as COMSOL, ANSYS, ASPEN, and PROMAX. My mission is to develop and scale up sustainable and cost-effective solutions for Decarbonization including the development and commercialization of CARGEN Technology which was developed in my Ph.D. project at Texas A&M.
