Technical director with extensive hands-on expertise in renewable generation interconnection, design, commissioning, and operation, transmission planning, grid standards development and compliance, model development, and power system research. More than 15 years of industrial experience in leading and conducting complex power system studies and research for ISOs, utilities, and renewable developers. Led and conducted transmission planning and renewable generation interconnection studies for different jurisdictions in the United States, Canada, and Australia - including ISO-NE, NYISO, PJM, SPP, ERCOT, GTC and ITC. Studies included: Steady State, Generation Deliverability, Transient Stability, Voltage Stability with composite Load modelling (CMLD), UFLS analysis, RMS user-defined model development, RMS/EMT model benchmarking. Led and conducted R&D, as part of Sandia National Labs, on advanced inverter functionalities, grid-forming inverters, power system resilience, Virtual Power Plants and microgrid protection.Proficient in using various professional software packages including PSS/E, PowerGEM TARA, PSCAD, PSLF, ASPEN Oneliner and DigSILENT PowerFactory. Specially experienced in developing automation Python programs for PSS/E for conducting large scale transmission planning studies and developing FORTRAN user-defined models for PSS/E.Licensed professional engineer in the Province of Ontario and a Senior Member.
