ABOUT MOHAMED ALARAKHIA

I am a practicing Family Physician and the CEO of Amplify Care. The passion that myself and our team has for supporting primary care with digital health led to the establishment of Amplify Care (previously known as eHealth Centre of Excellence) in 2014. Amplify Care has become a nationally recognized, award-winning organization dedicated to amplifying the voice of primary care to support a more efficient and effective healthcare system. We are clinically driven, digitally inspired. In addition to my roles as a Physician and CEO, I am the Faculty Digital Health and Innovation Lead at McMaster University, Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine (Waterloo Campus), as well as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Waterloo. I was fortunate to be awarded the Digital Health Executive of the Year Award in 2019 and the Digital Health Canada Clinical Innovator of the Year Award in 2023. I was also presented with the College of Family Physicians of Canada Award of Excellence in 2018 and 2022. In 2024, I was the recipient of the John C. Sibley Award for Excellence in Education for Part Time Faculty.
