ABOUT MOHAMAD MUSBAH ALMEDAWAR

I am passionate about facilitating and supporting the advancement of natural sciences and innovation.Experienced in Research Management since 2021, namely in grants management, data management, scientific event planning and science communication. Currently focused on data management onboarding at Leibniz IPF in addition to identifying funding opportunities, writing and supporting funding applications, and Post-award grants management and reporting.Previously as a Scientific Coordinator at the Faculty of Medicine Carl Gustav Carus, Technische Universität Dresden, I prepared funding applications for research projects in basic and clinical research fields including molecular biology, laboratory medicine, biochemistry, and metabolism research.My previous positions at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics (MPI-CBG) enabled me to develop and implement a training and mentoring program for postdoctoral researchers, as well as to assist and advise scientists in the pre-award phase of grant acquisition. I also coordinated the management and communications of the Center for Systems Biology Dresden, a joint initiative of MPI-CBG, MPI-PKS, and TU Dresden. through 10 years of experience in scientific research, I earned a PhD in Biomedicine from TU Dresden, where I conducted research on risk factors for a dysfunctional vascular endothelium. I have published multiple peer-reviewed articles and received the Young Investigator Award in 2016, among others. I continued in basic science research at MPI-CBG as a postdoctoral researcher before transitioning to grants management in 2021. I have strong skills in scientific writing, biochemistry, molecular biology, and project management. I am fluent in English, Arabic, and German.
