Perform structural modeling, analysis, and design using software such as ETABS, SAFE, S-Concrete, and WoodWorks- Design concrete, steel, and wood structures using both manual calculations and engineering software- Conduct joist analysis based on site surveys and ETABS modeling- Apply and interpret Canadian codes and standards in structural design and analysis- Prepare structural design drawings in compliance with project requirements- Develop as-built drawings while adhering to CAD standards- Provide marked-up sketches and design input to structural engineering technologists- Prepare investigation reports for the assessment and repair of buildings and structural components- Review and provide feedback on structural shop drawings- Prepare preliminary and detailed cost estimates for structural work- Conduct site visits to perform inspections and monitor construction progress- Communicate effectively with contractors and clients during site visits and project execution- Prepare detailed field observation reports and site instruction documentation- Respond to contractor Requests for Information (RFIs) in a timely and accurate manner- Review contractor payment applications and schedules of values- Attend coordination meetings with the structural team to ensure alignment across disciplines- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of project managers, engineers, and technologists- Ensure accurate coordination of structural documentation with other design disciplines (e.g, architectural, mechanical, electrical).
