Responsible for handling of downhole electronic and surface support equipment (EM, Mud pulse and RSS tools)- Monitors the loading/unloading, inventory, and storage of MWD equipment on location- Supervises make-up checking and calibration of equipment prior to running in hole- Ensures survey data is QC’d continuously and reports any anomalies- Supervises retrieval of equipment and processing of data- Runs QC checks on memory data to ensure measurement quality every run- Maintains accurate inventory of equipment and spares at the Work site- Produces daily report on the operation of Baker Hughes MWD equipment- Ensures data is presented in required format- Ensures all failure incidents reported in MaPs- Communicates with Directional Driller, MWD/Directional Drilling Coordinator on daily basis related to Equipment Performance- Analyses VSS (Vibration Data) and makes recommendations on optimum drilling parameters- Ensures all data is backed up according to data management procedures- Efficiently troubleshoot any MWD system problems and communicate these with client representative and MWD/LWD Coordinator- Emphasizes Safety and Quality in all activities- Active participation in client safety programs
