About Michael Wechsler

I’m a true jack-of-all-trades and have been telling stories since I picked up my folks Super 8mm camera at the age of 9! I have edited and directed for many years in the non-fiction television space, and have also written, directed, edited and produced my own feature films, created my own hit web series, written countless screenplays and taught Graduate screenwriting. Storytelling has always been at the forefront of my life which is why I have worn and continue to wear all these hats. Working in all those different roles has enabled me to streamline the production and post-production process. As a matter of fact, I realized early on that they are all members of the same family, all collaborating with one another to make the best possible story outcome. Whether editing, writing or directing, the goal has always been the same for me: to tell the best story in the most compelling, eye-catching and satisfying way. I’d best describe myself as a creative chameleon. That is, I adapt to whatever genre, style and approach is required. I’m adept at taking on the story needs of the project and go with the flow. I have jumped onboard projects at the pilot stage but I’ve also joined successful shows and blended in with the style. My flexibility and versatility are the reasons why you will see the eclectic mix of projects on my CV.
