Responsibilities will include:• Managing the development and deployment of all new applications, integrations, and/or enhancements to existing custom developed applications and integrations throughout the firm.• Managing the performance of the Development team, ensuring that they follow core processes to deliver high quality applications that meet business objectives. • Ensure that any new software integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications.• Collaborate with project managers, analysts, designers, and system owners in the development and testing of all new applications and integrations.• Work closely with all relevant IT teams to deliver software into the organisation, providing a clear handover to business-as-usual (BAU) support.• Cultivate, disseminate, and enforce functional policies, procedures, and quality assurance best practices.• Being the technical escalation point for the IT Development team and key liaison into the rest of IT.• Delivering regular reports on the IT Development teams performance for the senior management team.• Proactively looking for ways to improve processes or support operations and implementing them in a meaningful and lasting manner.• Driving and implementing IT initiatives and projects in support of the global IT strategy.• Mentoring and coaching staff, aiming to develop best practices in the delivery of custom developed applications and integrations.• Any other ad hoc duties as may be required, e.g, deputising for the Head of Business Systems.
