ABOUT MO AHMAD

Global Mobility is nothing new to Mo Ahmad. Living in 3 different countries before most kids have passports and having visited over 60 countries since, Mo knows first hand what it means to relocate. Lawyer by trade, entrepreneurial by nature, Mo thrives when given the chance to put his creativity to the test. He loves to help his clients solve their complex tax matters by breaking down the complexity and bringing forward solutions that are both easy to understand and minimize spend. Mo has over 17 years experience providing expatriate tax services to corporate and individual clients. Prior to starting Westmark Tax, Mo spent 5 years as a partner with a boutique cross-border tax firm and a number of years as a senior manager with Ernst & Young. He has extensive advisory experience on tax issues relating to global mobility including employee incentive plans such as stock options, restricted shares and other executive incentive plans. Mo is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and received his law degree from the University of Toronto. He has an undergraduate diploma in managerial accounting from Wilfred Laurier University and an economics degree from the University of Western Ontario. He sits on the Vancouver Board of TiE (The Indus Entrepreneur), an organization dedicated to promoting global entrepreneurship. Mo is married with two kids. In his spare time he enjoys playing squash, cycling and spending time outdoors in his spectacular home province of British Columbia.
