ABOUT M. NATASHA RAJAH

Dr. Rajah is a tenured Full Professor and Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Sex, Gender, and Diversity in Brain Health and Aging at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU). She directs the Brain Health Equity in Aging and Memory (BHEAM) lab at the Department of Psychology, TMU, and is the Principal Investigator for the Brain Health at Midlife & Menopause (BHAMM) Study.Dr. Rajah has over 20 years of experience in cognitive neuroscience and experimental psychology and leads a multidisciplinary research program aimed at understanding how biological sex, gender, and social determinants of health influence brain and cognitive aging across diverse communities.Dr. Rajah joined TMU in August 2023, after a successful academic career at McGill University and Douglas Research Centre (20••••23). During her tenure at McGill she served as the inaugural Director of the Douglas Cerebral Imaging Centre (CIC) and Assistant Dean (Academic Affairs) at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. Dr. Rajah continues to hold an Adjunct Professor position at McGill University and is a CIHR Sex & Gender Research Chair in Neuroscience, Mental Health and Addiction. Dr. Rajah is also an Adjunct Scientist at the Rotman Research Institute.In addition, Dr. Rajah serves as Vice-Chair of the CIHR Institute of Aging, Advisory Board; Editor-in-Chief for Aging, Cognition, & Neuropsychology; and Principal Investigator of the Brain Resilience & Diversity in Aging & Dementia collaboratory (https://resilienceandaging.com/).Dr. Rajah is passionate about advancing knowledge, innovation, and equity in the field of brain health and aging, and mentoring the next generation of researchers and leaders.
