About Meghan Murphy
I’m a creative and results-driven community engagement strategist and nonprofit program lead, focused on climate, artificial intelligence and resilience in the journalism industry. I’ve spent 15 years in programs, event and member engagement strategy. In my spare time, I volunteer with three local climate groups in my home state of Massachusetts: Energize Framingham, which is supporting the clean energy and electrification transition locally as part of a coalition of Massachusetts communities; Mothers Out Front, which unites parents and caregivers to advocate for a livable future for our kids; and Citizens Climate Lobby, which brings together citizens to engage with their leaders on climate policy. I bring my background in volunteer leadership, community engagement and communications to my roles in each group.I\'ve volunteered with the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) on their Young Professionals Advisory Committee and Program Advisory Committee, and with LION Publishers on their inaugural Advisory Council and as an awards judge. I was a 2020 New Leaders Council fellow and served on the DC chapter\'s Board of Directors in 20••••21, working on recruitment, marketing and communications, and on the Boston chapter\'s Board of Directors in 20••••23, as finance and advancement co-chair. I\'m a 2018 alumna of both the ASAE NextGen Association leadership program and the Rising Organizers fellowship.
