ABOUT MOHAMMAD MOONIS

Process Safety Professional with experience of working in capacity of focal point in close liaison with Operators as part of EPC contracts and various greenfield and brownfield projects with EPCs and consultancies; I have experience in process safety / technical safety role including offshore and onshore oil, gas, renewables and major hazard industries. I have worked with the Consultancies, EPC Contractors and on Service Contracts with Operators. During my career with EPC companies, i have been involved with Projects, Brownfield modifications and Operations related work.I have developed skills in the fields of Dispersion Analysis (PHAST, FRED and BP CIRRUS), ALARP, HAZID, HAZOP, Quantified Risk Assessment (QRA), SIL and LOPA / Functional Safety (TRAC, ExSILentia), Safety Management Systems, Safety Critical Elements (SCEs and ECEs), Performance Standards and Verification Schemes, Safety Case Development, COMAH Assessments etc. Well versed with UK and International legislations and standards as HSWA, Safety Case Regulations, PFEER, PSR, DCR, CAP437, Norwegian standards (NORSOK), ISO13702, ISO API14C (ISO10418), IP15 (IEC 60079), NFPA, Shell DEPs and BP-ETPs. My typical work profile includes, but not limited to, the following activities: • To provide robust, pragmatic and cost-effective solutions and technical expertise on Implementation of Safety Culture and Safety Management, Operational Support, Greenfield and Brownfield Projects Design, legislative, corporate and group standards and good practice requirements;• Ensure legislative compliance and assurance (e.g. Safety Case, COMAH, PFEER and Offshore Installations and Pipeline Works (MAR) Regulations;• Chair safety reviews such as Operational Risk Assessments, HAZOP, P & ID Review, HAZID, Fire & Gas C&E Review, SIL and LOPA, Modifications Kick-offs, MoC meetings, SCEIRA and Functional Safety Impact Assessment; • To identify and assess the process / functional safety issues associated with the design and construction of facilities and make recommendations to control potential risks to an ALARP level; Review and develop performance standards for safety;• Ensuring that third party assessments and reviews meet the required standards; • Develop the procedures, workscopes and specifications related to Safety Engineering; Identify updates required to key safety documents (e.g. Safety Case, QRA); and• Support the development and realisation of a \'Zero Incident Culture\' in a way that serious injuries are prevented and best in class safety performance is achieved.
