As the founder and creative director of Kubu Studios, an African creative studio based in the U.S, I lead cross-disciplinary projects that span photography, video production, fashion direction, sculpture, and experimental visual arts. Through Kubu, I explore African identity, spatial contrast, and material storytelling—using both analog and emerging technologies.Under our visual platform Dualizm.fa, I’ve conducted global photo series that investigate city contrasts and wealth inequality across Malaysia, South Africa, Turkey, Oman, and the U.S. These include both digital and film-based work, such as capturing the layered socio-economic textures of Washington, D.C. through an Afro-documentary lens.My creative practice integrates: • Fashion & editorial direction • Video production and short-form documentaries • Sculpture and material studies (traditional + conceptual) • Spray painting and form-based design • AI-generated visual narratives • Darkroom photography and analog processingMy goal through Kubu is to create artistic work that is locally grounded, globally resonant, and unapologetically African.
