About Matt Lyons
Since 2023 I have been working at SIL focused on scripture translation software.From 2016 to 2023 I worked at CTC. I started by leading a team to replace its back/middle office automation system along with the thousands of jobs it runs. Following that I led groups of developers working on its internal trading system, with tasks ranging from a trading engine to internal firm symbology.From 2009 through 2016 I worked at Geneva Trading building and maintaining an automated trading platform used by internal traders. While CIO/CTO I also oversaw teams working on our IT infrastructure, global network, and back office software development. As Sr Director I led a group of developers, quantitative analysts, and traders working together as a single profit center.While at Microsoft for over a decade, I worked on desktop, server, and mobile platforms to develop new products. I focused on security and privacy throughout most of my career, including helping to create and rollout company-wide initiatives to improve security and privacy of Microsoft products and solutions.
