ABOUT MIKE DESIR
I have over 10 years of experience in legal, sales, management, and compliance. What sets me apart is my ability to think outside the box when it comes to problem solving, my capacity to work diligently and efficiently, both independently and collaboratively, and my ‘bigger picture’ focus while paying attention to the small details along the way. While attending law school I wanted to diversify my experience. After my first year, I started trying to gear my elective course towards a more business focus, such as Alternative Dispute Resolution, which involves negotiations, legal drafting, and legally assisting corporations. After I completed my second-year internship at 1776 Global, it really solidified my desire to transfer into the business sector. Although my position was on the legal side, I worked in the C-Suite alongside the CFO. I learned all about business strategy as I was able to interact with entrepreneurs of start-ups who wanted to build their businesses. I helped them create day-to-day processes that required them to use strategy tools and data analysis to continuously build the business. To further solidify my passion, I obtained an MBA to gear me towards a business corporate role. I want to combine my legal and business background to further understand markets and organizations as a principal consultant. My #1 career goal is to move into a top-level leadership position where I can lead teams and build people in the organization. Some of the roles I am hoping to snag are:FinanceStrategy Consultant Management ConsultantCorporate Business Development Strategy Business Development Corporate Development Specialist
