ABOUT MIKE BUTLER

Throughout his career, Mike has provided leadership to teams and organizations involved in the design, development, implementation, and support of a wide range of business applications. Mike’s background includes a rare combination of strategic IT leadership, practical business process knowledge, technical application development, techno/functional solution design, global project management, and consulting practice leadership. These experiences and insights have allowed him to develop a reputation for being able to convey complex concepts and processes clearly and effectively to both business and technical audiences. Mike has a significant understanding of data management, application architecture, system design, change management, and ERP leading practices within financial accounting, order-to-cash, and procure-to-pay business processes across a number of industries. He is a solution-oriented leader with excellent problem solving, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Prior to his current Sr. Solution Architect role at Emtec, Mike was a Vice President at Fidelity Investments from 2011 to 2016, providing IT leadership for the global re-implementation of Oracle’s eBusiness Suite (R12), the design & deployment of an extensive end-user reporting solution utilizing Oracle OBIEE, and the life-cycle management of a large portfolio of management reporting, master data, and analytics applications for the Finance organization. Prior to joining Fidelity, Mike spent 12 years building the Oracle Applications Practice at Rolta/TUSC. Mike began his career at Motorola, Inc. and was responsible for automating accounting & financial reporting processes, building complex activity-based costing and systems, and completing one of the first global Oracle Financials implementations. Mike has a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and has completed significant coursework towards a Master of Science in Management Information Systems at DePaul University.
