Responsible and accountable for the vision and the scientific and strategic oversight of the biomarker and in-vitro diagnostic development across Amgen’s pipeline and marketed products for all therapeutic areas (Inflammation, Cardiometabolic, and Oncology). Responsible for helping represent Amgen during interactions with regulatory agencies and the scientific community. Leadership and management of Clinical Biomarkers and Diagnostics group of over 70 staff members across multiple sites (US and ex-US) including Biomarker Science, Biomarker Operations, Dx and Clinical Imaging, Translational Pathology and Computational Biology groups Responsible for leading efforts to evaluate novel technologies as related to biomarker analyses and assess their feasibility for clinical implementation (eg. ctDNA, Digital Pathology, Radiomics, etc) Accountable for the Clinical Biomarker and Diagnostic function’s strategic planning, and delivery to Executive Committees Represents all Diagnostic partnerships serving on Joint Steering Committees as the Amgen representative Actively manage biomarker and diagnostic activities and collaborations across all therapeutic areas and all phases of development
