In the near future all devices, that can benefit from communication, will be connected to the internet.” Enabling TÜV SÜDs global EMC and RF test laborites to integrate test solutions for the massive growth in wireless communication as driven by the Mobile IoT and the 5G adoption in vertical industries: • Reviewing physical layer test requirement evolutions being developed by leading SDOs for Short Range and Cellular Radio Technologies including latest mMTC, eMBB and URLLC 5G technologies, i.e. eMTC/NB-IoT, NR in FR1/FR2 and reduced capability NR. • Tracking adoption of physical layer test requirements for regulatory compliance defined by FCC/ISED, RED and JRL. • Selection of suitable test equipment based on technical capability, future adaptivity and price competitiveness. • Development of test processes and trainings for engineers executing regulatory physical layer testing. • Monitoring of URLLC technology adoption in Automated Factories and for Automated Driving considering stringent functional safety and cybersecurity requirements on the communication system.
