ABOUT MICHAEL KUYKENDALL

I am passionate about delivering client centered care through superior clinical judgement, patient education, and interdisciplinary collaboration. I strongly believe in dedication to continuous improvement and evidence-based nursing practice. I am a graduate of the Arizona State University Edson College of Nursing and I also earned a degree in Exercise and Wellness from Arizona State University. I have extensive experience at a busy level 1 trauma center working in the Neurology/Telemetry unit and also medical- surgical. Through my background in real estate, I obtained transferrable skills which can be applied to nursing such as interpersonal communication, client education, and conflict resolution. I also have experience in working directly with clients to help them reach health goals in my role as a strength and conditioning coach. I am a proponent of the team approach to healthcare in which the patient is an active participant in their own plan of care.
