About Katie Lewis

My passion for developing engaging educational programs and events began as a college student fully immersed in Student Affairs and related activities. I was always intrigued by the ever-changing programs to help develop the whole student in preparation for their professional life. Fast forward to the present day, and I have ten plus years of event planning and program development experience. I believe my passion for event and program planning derives from a focus on organization, planning, and creativity. The ability to not only create but implement the process is something I have been able to execute in each of my professional roles, and I believe it is because I enjoy it so much. As a hobby, I enjoy rehabbing furniture and home projects. Before the project starts, I develop a roadmap to follow, from the large items like a bathtub down to the types of screws needed to complete the project. I sketch out what I want the finished product to look like, develop my checklist, a timeline, and get to work! These types of plans and roadmaps are tools I like to use in my professional life as well to get from the foot view all to the smallest details.
