ABOUT MICHAEL BROWN

Mike is an experienced security executive who finds fulfillment in his role by helping teams be successful. Bringing a love for solving problems involving the art and science of cryptography and security, along with a passion for helping his teams achieve their full potential, has been a driving force behind Mike\'s career path. Being able to communicate complex technical topics and issues to help partners understand their impact, and how they should react, has been a key part of all of Mike’s roles.Mike is now the Principal and Founder of Polar Analysis, a boutique consulting firm focused on helping organizations understand the impact of cryptography to their infrastructure.Previously, Mike was the Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder of ISARA Corporation, where he focused on the technical vision and direction for ISARA’s quantum-safe cryptography solutions. In that role, Mike helped grow ISARA to be a global leader in providing quantum-safe expertise to customers around the world.In addition, Mike was previously a founding member of the product security practice at BlackBerry. He created and grew the Product Management team within BlackBerry Security before also leading the Research and Assessment team and the Security Response Managers. Mike and his team look after understanding market requirements around security, in addition to telling the BlackBerry Security story publicly as a media spokesperson and as an enthusiastic presenter at international conferences. In addition his team also looks after understanding the technical threats that BlackBerry needs to protect against and how to design our products to be resilient - from supply chain, to hardware, to operating system and applications, and to consumer and enterprise services. Finally, they also work to understand the implications of security vulnerabilities to our in-market products and how to get mitigations to customers
