ABOUT MK SADIQ
I am an educator, poet, skilled event planner, and tireless community arts administrator. I have planned high attendance events for nonprofit organizations, universities, and cultural institutions for 15 years. Additionally, I facilitate workshops for youth and adults. I am also an adjunct sociology teacher. Beyond what I do for employment, I have the pleasure of serving a nonprofit organization that platforms community artists and mentors young people. For this nonprofit, I\'ve written several grants applications that were awarded funding and contributed greatly to the organization recent expansion. I maximize my reach by maintaining media platforms. In the last couple of years, I\'ve been added as a co-host on Literature for the Halibut on 88.1 KDHX. I also write for the West End Word online. I am an advocate of art as entrepreneurship and change agent. I will explore this intersection in detail in essays posted on online and, perhaps, in a book.
