Pharmacologist with expertise in inflammation and immunopharmacology, particularly preclinical R&D of synthetic, biological and natural pharmaceuticals. Received four international research prizes, including the Prix Galien, Germany and the Lifetime Achievement Award of the International Association of Inflammation Societies. • Strong management background in strategic planning, team building/leadership, department startup, M&A support, and process development. Established and directed research groups (<60 people,< EUR 3m budget) in 3 countries with differing cultures. • Extensive international project management and partner acquisition skills; established many collaborative studies and brought 7 novel projects to clinical trials.
