Leads a growing team of engineers responsible for the mechanical design of nuclear reactors and components. This design team consists of experts in design, analysis, and the ASME code. Two advanced nuclear reactor programs are being pursued. First, the TWR (Traveling Wave Reactor), a liquid sodium-cooled fast reactor (SFR), and second, MCFR (Molten Chloride Fast Reactor), a molten salt fast reactor. The team also leads the design of equipment for a Targeted Alpha Therapy (TAT) medical isotope program.
