ABOUT MATT CLARKE

Matt is the Principal Research Engineer at Elysia, working to bring Fortescue Zero’s expertise from motorsports and industry to anything with a battery in it. Having driven the development of their cloud analytics pipelines and data orchestration stack, he now focuses on blue-skies research agendas, applying modern ML techniques to challenging physical modelling tasks.Prior to joining Elysia, he worked as a Research Software Engineer, following his Chemistry PhD modelling next-generation battery materials, MRes in Sustainable Chemical Technologies, and MEng in Chemical Engineering at the University of Bath.He is an expert in Python, having developed performant numerical, analytical, and ML models across a wide range of fields, and has practical experience developing cloud and software architectures for research and production applications alike.
