About Mark Cameron
I am a systems biologist with over twenty years of experience applying multiomic technologies and bioinformatic methodology to the identification of immune correlates (biomarkers) of pathogenesis or protection in human infectious disease and chronic inflammatory conditions. I run a modern functional genomics collaboratory at Case Western Reserve University - an independent laboratory and core hybrid - amongst local, national and international collaborators. My main research interest is applying our amassed interferon and inflammatory signature database to the identification of biomarkers of microbial infection or chronic illness, such as cardiovascular disease or cancer. My group has broad genomics, single cell transcriptomics and spatial profiling, bioinformatics and computational expertise in analyzing across data types and studies with the hope of finding diagnostics or targets/drugs that can be used in specific immunotherapy design. Publication List: Systems Biology, HIV/AIDS, Psoriasis, Cardiovascular Disease, Cancer, Emerging Infectious Disease, Influenza, Sequencing, RNA-Seq, Transcriptome, Single Cell, Biomarkers, Functional Genomics, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Gene Expression, Human Host Response, Immunology, Interferons, Inflammation, Project Planning, Drug Discovery, Modeling & AI, Scientific Outreach.
