Music\" does not describe my \"industry\", exactly! I am a Hospice Chaplain, and, I am a Musical Artist. Sometimes, I combine these two skill sets, and sometimes not. Whatever I am doing, I attempt to \"tune into\" those I am serving, and as much as possible, I practice keeping my biases and beliefs about how things \"should be\" at bay, so that I can experience as fully as possible the person in front of me. I practice the art of listening and reflecting. And when I sing, I experience myself as a vessel through which all kinds of energy and emotions flow. So in both of these areas - chaplaincy and music - you could say that my job is to get myself out of the way so that people might have the opportunity to experience who they are. In this way, I am a facilitator, as a chaplain and as a singer.
