Came up with the idea of BuildOps and created the vision for the company- Agreed to get 2 people who kind of knew each other as co-founders- When the guys I brought a co-founders were struggling to generate investor interest, got the first term-sheet from a former colleague turned VC, David Waxman at TenOneTen Ventures. This kicked off where BuildOps got to today- When the sales co-founder was struggling, got the first real client for BuildOps. This client served as the main reference client for both the first and the second round of funding- Built a world class cross-geography product/engineering organization and run it at less than a quarter of a typical VC backed startup cost- Mentor the sales co-founder to develop sales strategy, including going after industry specific associations and getting the right advisors on board. Also, help define the market size, find first clients when he couldn\'t- Mentor the product and operations co-founder. I had to take over the product team when basic requirements were lacking in the product to take the first client live- The sales co-founder only wanted to shoot for the \"whales\" instead of MVP and ICP approach and only sell to enterprise clients, so make sure the sales team is supported unconditionally and get the product to that level out of the gate. Redefine the phrase, burning the midnight oil, along the way- Build and run more than 80% of the team across various departments and position the company for hyper-growth phase- Truly a school of hard knocks veteran in ideating and building technology companies for hyper-growth
