   The power plant is a multi fuel & multi technology combined heat and power complex that caters to the power, steam & process feed water needs of a modern oil refinery which is in further course of expansion and is targeted to be a 36 MMTPA plant.• It is a 600 MW mega unit which also delivers around 500 TPH of process feed water • Power, Steam & Process feed water is fed through a max-mix of modern technologies• Two Gas turbines – GE Frame–9E –110 MW (each), Two Thermax HRSG’s–325 TPH (each) • Two Pulverised coal fired boilers of Themax make – Capacity - 750 TPH (each)• Steam turbines of different makes – Combined loading capacity of 375 MW • Usage of fuels in operation range from – HSD, Naphtha, NG, RFG, FO, Coal, LPGMy responsibilities as a Shift Charge Engineer are as (but not limited to the) following - • Responsible for ensuring cost-effective, efficient unit operation in a safe manner. • Ensure provision of uninterrupted power and water supply to the refining units• To oversee Startup and shutdown of the plant. Arrange for defect rectifications. • Monitor plant operating parameters to optimizing plant performance • Analyze the root cause of any occurrence / incident and to provide necessary corrective measures • Coordinate permit to work system activities to ensure suitable and safe isolation procedures are maintained for access to plant.• Delivering solution to complex problems and identifying opportunities for further improvement.COMMISSIONING ROLE (Gas Based) – • Was Responsible as Shift commissioning team lead • Commissioning and stabilization of all major and critical systems.• Developing procedures, SOP’s and checks lists for safe and systematic run-up.PROJECT ROLE (Gas Based) – • Involved in full project cycle – From Concept to Commissioning • Involved in both pre & post order engineering cycles• Document review, Evaluation of specifications and bids, Technical recommendation etc
