About Dmitry Degtyarev

Over my 20+ years in software engineering, I\'ve been an architect, a manager, and a developer.As an architect, I have vast experience in using AWS Cloud to accelerate product development and cut running costs. In the last 4 years I\'ve developed cloud strategies for dozens of enterprise SaaS products (such as Jive and InsideSales) As a developer, I enjoy simplicity and minimalism. I am currently in love with Python, but I also code in Java, C++, Javascript and even Powershell (nightmarish but sometimes there\'s no other option).As a manager, I\'m a strong believer in the capability maturity model. I\'ve being fighting organizational entropy in each company that I worked for by defining processes, templates, tasks, performance metrics, and automations to remove the barriers to high performance of the teams.

   Drove cloud replatforming of several large-scale SaaS Products with Fortune 500 customer base using serverless AWS stack (Lambda, DynamoDB, AppSync, SQS, Cognito, and others)- Led cloud cost optimization efforts on AWS accounts with combined $20m+ per annum spend- Developed PoC of the core technology for new SaaS products that were presented on MWC\'21 and AWS re:Invent 21
