Construction & Development Industry Executive | 30+ Years of Experience | Commercial, Multi-Family, Mixed-use & Senior Living | Business Development & Growth Planning | Finance & P&L | People-centric Leadership When I started in construction more than three decades ago, I didn’t know I was building a career. I worked as a project manager more times than I can remember—directing people, minimizing costs, supervising subcontractors, and fulfilling ever-changing priorities for commercial and residential buildings.At one point many years ago, I veered away from construction and accepted senior leadership positions in another field. It went well—I increased revenue and profits across the board—but I felt eager to return to the industry where my efforts make a significant and lasting impact in communities and in people’s lives.I built a profitable residential construction and remodeling firm from the ground up, and then stepped into senior executive roles for construction and development companies focused on senior living, multi-family residential, and mixed-use commercial projects.Not to sound cliché, but I believe this business is in my bones. I know the ins and outs, ups and downs of construction management, and I enjoy all aspects of leadership, strategic planning, financial management, marketing, staffing, team building, customer relations, contracts, and day-to-day problem solving.Also, I’m relentless when it comes to improving systems and streamlining processes—saving time and money while creating environments where people love to work.Finally, I believe that success in this industry (and in everything else) begins with successful relationships. I care about people, I care about individual projects, and I care about the big picture for a company, industry, and community that continue to change and grow.
