About Joanna Mitch Jacobson

Mitch is a writer, editor, and change-maker who believes that art and commerce can partner beautifully, profitably, and equitably — and for a great cause. While working full time as a science and tech editor with Red Ventures, Mitch also volunteers with several nonprofits that support underserved, at-risk, and isolated populations. A 2021 graduate of the Climate Reality Leadership Corps, she’s also doing her part to reverse human-caused climate change — and educate others on how they can do the same. Additionally, she’s pursuing a Certificate in Sustainable Business and Management from UCLA; continuing her education in diversity, inclusion, and belonging in the workplace; and working on a variety of personal creative projects. Past experience includes securing real estate acquisitions for an investment firm, managing actors, running a pet-sitting company, and teaching the Lindy Hop.
