ABOUT MITCH GERON

I am a CPA with a Master of Accountancy from the University of South Florida. Serving as an Internal Audit Intern with MetLife, I participated in walkthroughs to the understand flow of transactions, assess controls design, and review for gaps in risk mitigation. I gained experience in governance, risk, and compliance applications to document control testing procedures.After graduation, I began my career as an Audit and Assurance Assistant for Deloitte & Touche, where I:• Collaborated with 8 different audit teams and participated in client engagements in the financial services, retail, manufacturing & distribution, and transportation/logistics industries.• Tested and improved the design and operating effectiveness of clients’ internal controls, identified anomalies across vast data sets, and facilitated meetings with corporate executives to discuss findings and improve processes. • Applied knowledge of U.S. GAAP, GAAS, PCAOB, and AICPA standards.• Served as the single point of contact for the Deloitte India team to coordinate audit processes with client contacts.Working in a fast-paced environment of a Big 4 professional services firm taught me the importance of prioritizing tasks, making sound judgments within my realm of responsibility, and communicating transparently.Contact me at m••••••••@yahoo.com or at 90••••••02.
