I focused on skills gap identification and workforce retraining potential to facilitate transitions from coal-related employment to renewable energy sectors.• Conducted an economic policy analysis evaluating strategies to sustain inflows to the Great Salt Lake. I assessed a suite of water pricing and policy mechanisms designed to incentivize municipal water conservation, analyzing the theoretical impacts and feasibility of each approach in the region’s unique water context. My work included outlining alternative rate structures, demand management policies, and pricing incentives.• Estimated the private and social costs of offsetting environmental damages associated with legacy mining through the identification and implementation of compensatory restoration projects.
