   During my tenure at Heinen\'s I have delivered a customer-first mindset to everyday operations across the store. Through experiences in the meat, grocery, produce, dairy, and front-end departments, I was able to understand the full-scale operations of the store and share my knowledge with customers and my colleagues alike in order to promote growth and success.During my third year, I worked with a few other associates in the store to discuss room for improvement in our customer experience. After reviewing both customer and associate feedback surveys, we reached a conclusion to implement a new self-checkout area with four registers that would drive transaction efficiency and improve customer satisfaction. Since their installments, the self-checkout lanes have attributed to a 2-minute decline average customer wait times.In addition to improving the customer experience, I have also helped develop an uplifting environment for my coworkers. I have trained over 30 employees in the front-end since my hiring date, and have built strong relationships with my fellow associates in and out of the workplace.I\'m proud of my position at Heinen\'s, where I can contribute to a customer-first environment at a great company and serve the members of my community in a variety of ways.
