About Mitchell L. Jones
As President and Chief Medical Officer at Palisade Bio, I lead the company’s mission to drive innovation in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) therapies. With more than 18 years of experience in biotechnology and clinical development, I oversee strategy, operations, and execution across our therapeutic pipeline.We are advancing PALI-2108, a first-in-class, locally bio-activated oral PDE4 inhibitor prodrug being developed for both ulcerative colitis (UC) and fibrostenotic Crohn’s disease (FSCD) — a condition with no FDA-approved therapies. We have completed Phase 1 SAD and MAD as well as FE crossover studies as well as Phase 1b in UC with an ongoing Phase 1b in FSCD. In UC, our approach may incorporate a precision medicine test to identify patients most likely to respond to PDE4 inhibition, with the goal of delivering best-in-class outcomes. We are preparing to initiate two definitive Phase 2 studies in 2026 across moderate to severe UC and in FSCD.My expertise is developing oral therapies which are locally bioactivated and acting and my experience includes deep experience in gut tissue immunology, translational science, and clinical development, with a proven track record of advancing programs from early-stage to late-stage trials, building high performing teams, building strategic partnerships and collaborations, and securing institutional public and private capital with two IPOs >$120M and more than two growth VC financings >$125M for IBD directed programs as well as raising non-dilutive capital.At Palisade Bio, we are driven by science and collaboration and supported by some of the World\'s top investors—working with leading investigators, clinicians, and investors to deliver meaningful new therapies for patients and to position our assets for successful partnerships and commercialization.
