Oversee the day-to-day operations for an importer / exporter of rigid packaging (glass, ceramic, plastic & aluminum bottles, corks, labels, presentation boxes etc.) specializing in the spirits, pharmaceutical, and food industries.• Provide support and mentoring to both the sales and sales support / customer service teams to ensure that client expectations are not only met but surpassed. Resulting in significant reductions of potential losses due to nonpayment and overall increased profitability.• Approve all purchase orders to both international & domestic suppliers to ensure accuracy & that gross margin requirements are being maximized.• Negotiate with our global supply chain to ensure the best product or service is being supplied at the best price. This includes manufacturing, transportation (ocean and ground transportation) etc.• Facilitate all human resource requirements such as hiring new team members, preforming annual performance reviews, and dealing with any HR issues that may arise.• Head the decision-making team for all advertising and marketing campaigns.• Handle all insurance claims.• Maintain and update corporate website.• Supervise all North American trade show preparations and coordination to help maintain strong customer relations and increase sales.
