ABOUT MITCHELL C. BEER

Thirty years ago, Mitchell Beer had a meeting with destiny, as they say. With not much more than a Bachelor\'s degree in business from College of New Jersey, formerly Trenton College, and the desire to own his own business, he set out to find what would end up being his career calling. As he jotted down a list of must-haves, he quickly found his top three - independence, impact, and income. And, while meeting with a Northwestern Mutual recruiter, he realized that by becoming a financial advisor he could not only check all three off of his list, but he could also reap the benefits of being a business owner, with the help of a trusted, nationally-recognized firm backing him. While his career accomplishments are important to him, nothing is dearer to his heart than children\'s charities. He was named the recipient of a grant from Northwestern Mutual for Hope\'s Haven, where he served on the board, to help families of children dealing with a recent cancer diagnosis. In addition, he is a financial supporter of several area charities, including Children\'s Hospital LA; Care Bags; Habitat for Humanity; and his area homeless shelter. And, with a career that affords him the luxury of free time, he enjoys skiing, golfing, riding his beloved Peloton, and staying physically fit. It\'s important to Beer to continue to grow daily, whether by enrolling in a new professional course, taking the more challenging ski slope, hitting what seemed like an unachievable goal in the office, or even chairing a charity event. Step outside of the box.
