About Mitch van Biljon
The notion that individuals need deep experience in a specific industry is archaic. What is needed are adaptive individuals who are able to rapidly define short and long term needs and overcome barriers to such solutions. Broad industry experience with a number of application software packages enables one to have a broader view i.e. able to see the forest from the trees. Far too frequently we seek solutions to immediate problems and thus are in many instances structurally creating problems that are far more difficult to overcome and carries a high capital cost. The desire to maximize short term shareholder value is rapidly increasing costs and handicapping organizations long term goals. Do the right thing at all times and avoid the pitfalls of short term objectives.
