About Mitch Samuelson
I first entered the professional construction field with an internship with a mechanical contractor allowing me to gain knowledge in the operating structure of a construction company. The projects ranged from office, hospitality, financial, and educational facilities. I\'ve also gained experience in the retail construction industry, coordinating and estimating casework and finish carpentry packages for Nordstrom Stores throughout the country. From there I have transitioned myself into holding positions as a Project Engineer, Project Manager with General Contractors, the Construction Manager of the iconic IDS Center in downtown Minneapolis, and currently a Project Manager for the Project & Development Services team with Cushman & Wakefield. I enjoy focusing on the materials, technologies, and practices used to construct each project as well as building relationships with a diverse group of individuals on each project.Some accomplishments and traits describing me are:• Successfully estimated and managed multiple projects concurrently from initial needs assessment through construction implementation and closeout• Proven ability to communicate effectively with internal and external business partners. • Extremely well organized, goal-oriented, particular to detail, with steadfast follow through.My goals are to continue to expand my knowledge in the construction industry and to broaden my social networking contacts.Specialties: High proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, Adobe PDF, PlanGrid, Sage/Timberline Yardi.
