32 Years experience as an air traffic controller in USMC, DOD and FAA. I have a reputation as a relentless worker who \"gets things done\" through skills learned early in my career as a United States Marine and refined over the years as a NATCA representative. I believe in leading by example and fostering the growth of other leaders. I have a large knowledge and experience base in aviation, air traffic control, automation and systems. I have multiple certifications in terminal radar approach control (TRACON) facilities as well as air traffic control towers in FAA and Military facilities. As an air traffic controller at Miami International Airport (MIA), I have extensive and detailed knowledge of aviation operations in Florida. In my capacity as the NATCA Lead for Terminal Automation Modernization Replacement (TAMR) and Section 804 (facility realignment and consolidations) I have an extensive knowledge of Agency infrastructure and systems throughout the entire NAS. I am experienced in legislative/political activism including direct contact with legislators on Capitol Hill. I have engaged professional staff at various House and Senate committees and assisted in preparations for committee hearings. In my previous role as the South Florida Legislative Coordinator for NATCA I have close personal relationships with many members of Congress and their staff. I have built and led extremely successful, effective teams in multiple capacities. I believe in active mentorship and setting the example while creating and promoting leaders within my teams.
